Orinoco Systems President Diego Ferrer and Operations Director Charles Tucker seized the opportunity to meet with Former Vice President Al Gore as he signed copies of his new book, The Future, and spoke at a luncheon at the Union League Club of Chicago.

The event opened with a book signing and then transitioned into a lunch, which we are assuming was sustainably farmed salmon, as Al Gore regaled the crowd about the ‘Six drivers of the global change’  which is just the tip of the iceberg of what is presented in the book.

Much of what was discussed is important to Orinoco’s business even beyond the point of the speech which was about the trajectory of the interconnected world, “Earth Inc.”

Following the event, Orinoco’s Operations Director Charles Tucker mused, “As a company heavily involved in process automation and harnessing technological efficiencies for the advantage of our clients, it was interesting to hear the former Vice President’s opinion on the role of technological advances and outsourcing in the emergence of the “Global Mind”.”
