-  Orinoco Systems’ CEO, Diego Ferrer was in Bogota, Colombia October 20th and 21st to attend the SOFTIC 2011 International Business Matchmaking Event.

The event which was sponsored by FEDESOFT(the Colombian Federation of Information Technology and Software), PROEXPORT Colombia and the Bogota Chamber of commerce comes at the heels of the U.S. Government approved US-Colombia Free Trade Agreement that went into effect this month.  The event is an opportunity for American and Colombian technology firms to meet and discuss current and future business opportunities.

Mr. Ferrer stated that, “Any important element of success within the technology sector is keeping your eyes open, both to innovative ideas and synergies with potential partner companies.  With the success our company has had due in part to NAFTA, it is possible that the USCFTA could open the door to beneficial partners or solutions for our company.”
